Giraffe Center

Known as the Giraffe Lady, Leslie-Melville founded the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife USA after settling in Kenya nearly 40 years ago. She worked to save the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe, one of three subspecies that is characterized by its white legs. The Giraffe Center, which is also the headquarters for the African Fund for the Endangered Wildlife, gives people an opportunity to feed the giraffes and take photographs from a parapet wall.
