Explore the city by visiting the colonial-style Parliament Building, very close to the impressive Kenyatta Conference Centre inspired both by ancient Rome and rural Africa with its shady courtyards and fountains. Close by is the plenary hall a modern version of the Senate. The Uhuru Park is a further attraction.
Worth a visit is the railway museum recalling the history of the construction of the East African railway, the market and city bazaars. A ‘must’ is a visit to the National Museum that houses Kenya’s political history, the paintings of the late Joy Adamson paleontology, ethnological, scientific exhibits and its wealth of local interest.
