Itinerary
Pick up at 0730hrs from city hotel, tour departs at 0830 hrs. Travel across the rolling plains of the Transvaal Highveld via the coal-mining town of Witibank to Dullstroom for lunch at the rustic Critchley Hackle Trout Fishing Lodge. Proceed to the historical town of Lydenburg. Continue to the museum town of Pilgrims Rest a fscinating glimpse of alluvial gold rush days. End the day with a visit to the spectacular Blyde River Canyon. Overnight and meals at Aventura Blydepoort (Full Board).
See the Blyde River Canyon, Abel Erasmus Pass, visit the Hoedspruit Cheetah Project before entering the Kruger National Park. Dinner and overnight at Satara Rest Camp.
Full day game viewing. Dinner and overnight at Skukuza Rest Camp.
Early morning game drive. After breakfast drive to the beautiful Kingdom of Swaziland where the King rules a contented people who observe ancient rites and traditions, view timber plantations en route to Valley of Heavens for your night stop near town of Mbambane. Dinner and overnight at Lugogo Sun Hotel.
Enjoy the splendour of the scenic route through Swaziland. Re-enter South Africa at Golela border post. Drive to Northern Zululand, visit the famous Hluhuwe Game Reserve, home of the white rhino among other game.
Visit a Zulu Kraal for an enchanting step back into history. You will be entertained by lectures and visual displays on many aspects of Zulu tribal life. Enjoy a traditional lunch. Afternoon drive via the town of Stanger to Durban, the beach holiday resort. Overnight at Elangeni Hotel (FB).
