Itinerary
Morning drive south crossing the Athi Plains to Amboseli National Park situated at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Mt Kilimanajaro arriving in time for lunch at a lodge. Afternoon game viewing drive in the park. Full board at a lodge.
A morning drive through fascinating volcanic formations to Tsavo West National Park and lunch at a lodge. Afternoon game drive including a visit to Mzima Springs where hippo and perhaps crocodile may be seen from an underwater observation hide. Full board at a lodge.
After an early breakfast, drive via Nairobi to lake Naivasha for lunch at a hotel. Afternoon at leisure with an optional boat ride on the lake. Full board at a lodge.
Morning drive along the floor of the Rift Valley admiring perfectly formed volcanoes along the road to the fabulous Maasai Mara Game Reserve. A leisurely lunch and relaxation before it is time to venture amongst the animals in this fascinating wildlife paradise. Full board at a lodge.
A full day in the Mara with game drives by car to look for the “Big Five”. In addition, a morning or afternoon walk may be taken from the camp with an expert guide to point out all the interesting flora and fauna often missed on conventional game drives.
Morning drive back to Nairobi (or option to fly by light aircraft – cost additional) with arrival before lunch.
